- No. SquareFootCalcs requires no account, no app, and no email address. You can open a calculator and use it straight away.
- Is my data sent anywhere when I type measurements?
- No. Nothing you type on SquareFootCalcs is sent anywhere and the arithmetic happens in your browser. All calculations run locally in the browser using JavaScript.
- How do I enter feet and inches?
- The calculators accept feet and inches written as 12' 6" , 12 ft 6 in or 12-6 , and metric works too. You can switch between feet-and-inches and metres-and-centimetres input on the concrete calculator.
- Can I share or print a result?
- Yes. The calculators provide shareable links where your measurements live in the URL, and they are printable so you can print the result and take the list to the store. The deck calculator provides a Copy Shareable Link Function and a Print List Function.
- Where do the bag yields and coverage rates come from?
- The bag yields, coverage rates and depth recommendations come from values published by the major manufacturers and standard trade rules of thumb. Each calculator page lists the figures it uses in a table and the date they were last checked appears under the tool.
- What if a figure does not match the product I bought?
- SquareFootCalcs accepts reports of a wrong figure if a bag yield, coverage rate or formula does not match what you found on the product. Corrections get made quickly and the check date on the page is updated. The label on the product is the authority for the product you actually bought.
- Can I request a calculator for a job that is not listed?
- Yes. SquareFootCalcs accepts requests for a calculator by describing the job rather than the tool. Gravel, topsoil, sod and seed, tile, decking, fencing and roofing are already planned, and the list of calculators is driven by what people actually ask for.
- How do I contact SquareFootCalcs?
